On ring shopping: It is a massive pain in the ass. I had to pull double duty, as Ang and I found the perfect ring in one store, but to help cover my tracks, we went to many different jewelry stores in order to fake her out. It became a mind numbing process/education on the 4Cs, color, cut, clarity, …something else with a C… cost? I dunno, my brain basically turned to jelly that afternoon.

On asking the old man: I asked Ang’s dad one day while we were chopping wood, like manly men. Tho, I didn’t actually ask him, I more or less told him my intentions, like giving an order, while menacing him with a short woodsman’s axe.
