Good question Brooks. I think the main issue at hand, which I alluded to, is not allowing the government to tell us what we can, or cannot, put into our body.

Especially when the alternatives end up being less nutritionally dense, ala pasteurized/artificial milks and cheeses.

Or, when it's blatant that these regulations are put in place to help large industries thrive by cutting out small scale competition.

good column, Hokie. Is raw milk something someone should be willing to die for? Sort of becoming a raw milk martyr?

All the rantings and ravings currently in vogue are just more feed for 'the news cycle', see Republican debates. Not that I don't appreciate all the conversation, but really, aren't we a tad far out from any national elections?

I digress.

Just pay yer GD fair share.

Weren't that long ago that the capital gains amounted to 40%. (circa '88 I believe...yeah yeah yeah old fart typing I know) and to be sure that wasn't exactly fun times... better to spend your money than try to grow it.

There are countries out there that don't seem to have the fiscal/debt woes that we have....Canada and Australia. Ya think they may have some banking controls in place that we might want to take a look at?
Are these countries shining beacons to be copied...nooooo. But there might be some aspects that we could consider.

Unbridled greed is the problem. Government is supposed to be a bridle. Ours isn't. What are we going to do about that?

And there's yer comment from blustery Sachuest.

I've thought about doing my picks by the line but that just means more research each week. And I don't always have the time.
